I’ve always hesitated to call myself a chef. Cooking for me is an act from the heart, not a job.

Born in a Master Chef family in China, I grew up only knowing one way of cooking - natural and nourishing, artisanal and tantalising.

So I always cooked that way at my home kitchens in the decades I worked in global finance and media - only my repertoire has expanded from Chinese to Korean, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Greek and cuisines from around the world.

The freedom in my home kitchen allowed me to prioritise the health benefits of food. But it’s since my healing and self-love journey that I cook food not only for fitness, but to nurture my holistic well-being so that I feel good inside and out with the energy and vitality to live and thrive. Outside the kitchen, I found a deep connection with nature in my soul - a sense of belonging in the beautiful universe.

This personal journey shaped how I cook for my clients - clean and exquisite to bring nature’s abundant nutrients to you, choosing the love and joy of food over a temporary dopamine boost, and sharing the warmth of genuine home cooking.

Seeing my clients’ children enjoying healthy, worldly food I cooked has been my great joy, knowing seeds for healthy eating habits and open-mindedness are being planted in their little hearts.

As for the grownups - I’m so grateful for your trust in me to support your journey - this challenging and beautiful human journey. Thank you for allowing me to share the gift of natural, homemade food that nourishes your light.

Meet Leo

Born in Yorkshire, sweet and intelligent Cavapoo boy Leo came into Sophie’s life in March 2023. With his adorable teddy bear face and affectionate demeanour, he has captured the hearts of many. Clients have extended special invitations for him to join Sophie during her cooking sessions. Leo always waits patiently while Sophie creates magic in the kitchen, and never disrupts the cooking process. He spreads love and joy with his presence.

Leo is a model for healthy eating. He loves being in nature, watching ducks and swans with a sense of wonder - occasionally in trance 😍.
