Growing up in a chef’s family in Sichuan, the culinary haven of China, I’ve witnessed the adults going to the farmer’s market every day to get fresh produce and turn natural ingredients into delicious dishes.
Years later, whether practising art or working in my former global career in finance, I’ve never stopped cooking - natural and wholesome food that nourishes my health and soul. Cooking gifted me with stillness and creative expression, and laughter from strangers and friends around the dinner table.
Heartfelt traditions around the world shaped the essence of my cooking - the craftsmanship in the beautifully-artful dishes in the Tokyo elegant restaurant I still remember vividly today, or the authenticity in the simple tasty beans with olive oil and herbs in the tiny back-alley eatery by Tuscany hills. These dishes not only taste good, they warm the spirit and make life beautiful - for they were crafted from the heart.
It’s with heart and intention that I create every dish for you. Thank you for allowing me to share nature’s nutrients and our shared traditions with you. Seeing a child enjoying my healthy dishes and forming a nurturing relationship with food, seeing a mom playing with her kids because the burden of cooking was lifted away from her, or witnessing the bonds formed and deepened around the dinner table gives me the meaning and joy of my work.
